FAQ’s

What materials do you use in your original paintings?

I work mainly with acrylics at the moment but due to environmental concerns I am increasingly developing work with other more environmentally friendly media.  All materials used are professional artist-grade.  Please see the individual descriptions with each painting for specific details.

How are your paintings finished?

Canvas and wood panels are finished with professional artist-grade UV protecting satin varnish or with a cold wax finish. Please ask.

Are your paintings framed?

Some are but where appropriate - for example on cradled birch blocks - I like to paint the edges to complement the painting.  ‘Float frames’ are finished by hand painting to complement the painting..  Paper pieces and canvasses are generally sold unframed unless stated otherwise.  Please contact me if you would like to discuss framing options.

Will my painting be ready to hang?

All canvasses, framed or cradled birch blocks will be fitted with an appropriate hanging mechanism so you can just pop it on the wall!

Do you accept commissions?

Currently I am not taking on new commissions.

Do you have a mailing list?

Yes - please join us!  This is a great way for you to hear about new paintings before they are made public and also about exhibitions and events.  I promise these mailings will be sporadic!
